Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data ID+ Rencontre collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It applies to the ID+ Rencontre website: dating between members, job offers, events, real-life stories and the chat assistant.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is ID+ Services, publisher of the ID+ Rencontre website, Lomé (Togo). For any question or request: idplusastuces@gmail.com or WhatsApp +228 92 02 90 90.
2. What data do we collect?
2.1 Account creation
- Email address, first name, password (stored encrypted, never in plain text), sex, date of birth, country and city, phone number.
- If you sign up with Google: your Google identifier, email address and first name provided by Google.
2.2 Profile (optional)
- Photos, presentation and answers to profile questions.
- Physical characteristics (height, weight, eyes, hair, tattoos), lifestyle (smoking, alcohol, pets, food, sport, music, hobbies).
- Education, occupation, income bracket, nationality, neighbourhood, housing, marital status, children, relationship intentions and search criteria.
2.3 Sensitive data (optional)
You may choose to state your religion and your haemoglobin genotype (« électrophorèse », which is health data). These fields are never mandatory: by filling them in, you agree that they appear on your profile and are used for matching. You can delete them at any time from your profile.
2.4 Use of the service
- Messages exchanged (text, voice messages, attachments), likes, favourites, correspondence requests, profile visits, blocks and reports.
- Phone number reveals between members, notifications and notification preferences.
- Login history (dates and times) and an encrypted device identifier used to recognise your usual browsers. We do not record your IP address at login.
2.5 Verification and change requests
To verify a profile or change your sex or date of birth, we may ask for an identity document or supporting document. These documents are used only for that verification.
2.6 Subscriptions and payments
Chosen plan, dates, amount, payment method, transaction reference and status, and the technical response of the payment provider. We never receive or store your card number: it is entered directly with the payment provider.
2.7 Events
- Participation request, status, attendance and the date of your agreement regarding photos and videos.
- Sign-in on arrival: image of your handwritten signature, arrival time, answers to additional questions, agreement regarding images, IP address and type of device.
- Photos and videos taken during events, under the conditions of article 3.3 of the Terms of Use.
2.8 Real-life stories and testimonials
Name or nickname, email, phone, country, story, photo, anonymity choice, agreement to sharing on social networks and the IP address used to submit. For likes from visitors who are not logged in: an anonymous cookie and the IP address, to prevent repeated votes.
2.9 Companies and job offers
Company name, acronym, logo, address and phone, and the email and first name of the person managing the company account.
2.10 Chat assistant
Conversations with the assistant (including voice messages, transcribed to text) are recorded to keep track of the conversation and improve the service.
3. Why do we use your data?

4. What other members can see
Logged-in members can see your profile: first name, age, city, photos, presentation and the answers you chose to fill in. Your email address is never displayed. Your phone number is only shown if you allow it in your settings. You can deactivate your profile to make it invisible. Premium members can browse in incognito mode.
5. Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. It is only shared with the following recipients, and only as far as necessary:
- The ID+ Rencontre team, according to each person's rights (moderation, events, support). Creations, changes and deletions made by the team are logged.
- LWS (France): hosting of the website and database.
- Our mail server: sending emails about your account.
- OpenAI (United States), only if you use the chat assistant: your messages to the assistant, your first name, the page you are viewing, and the profile information needed for the answer (for example the profiles or events searched for). Under OpenAI's terms for its business interface, this data is not used to train its models.
- Google (United States): sign-in with Google if you choose it; audience measurement (Google Analytics) and advertising (AdSense) when these services are enabled.
- Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, PayGate), when you pay online: amount, reference and, depending on the provider, your email address.
- Meta (Facebook) and Telegram: we publish our job offers, our events and the stories whose authors agreed to sharing. No data from your member profile is sent to them. For anonymous stories, no name or photo is published.
- Authorities, only when required by law.
6. Transfers outside Togo
Some providers are located outside Togo: in France (hosting) and in the United States (OpenAI, Google, Meta, payment providers). We choose recognised providers that apply appropriate security measures, and we limit the data transferred to what is strictly necessary.
7. How long do we keep your data?
- Account and profile: as long as your account exists. After a deletion request, they are erased within 30 days.
- Messages: as long as the accounts concerned exist.
- Read notifications: automatically deleted after 180 days.
- Event sign-in: signature, answers, IP address and device automatically deleted after 12 months. Only the record of your attendance and the proof of your agreement regarding images are kept, for the period during which the images are used (5 years).
- Identity and supporting documents: deleted once the verification or change has been processed, unless there is an ongoing dispute.
- Payments: 10 years, the period required for accounting records.
- Reports and safety measures: up to 12 months after the account is closed, to prevent abuse.
8. Your rights
Under Togolese Law No. 2019-014 of 29 October 2019 on the protection of personal data, you have the following rights:
- Access: to know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy.
- Rectification: most information can be corrected directly in your profile. Sex and date of birth are changed through a change request.
- Deletion of your data and your account (see section 9).
- Objection to certain processing, in particular to information emails, and restriction of processing.
- Withdrawal of your consent at any time: by deleting the sensitive fields from your profile, or by asking for a story or an image to be removed.
To exercise these rights, write to idplusastuces@gmail.com from your account's email address. We reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested if we have doubts about your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with Togo's Instance de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel (IPDCP).
9. Deleting your account and your data
- Deactivate your profile (immediate): in your account settings, the deactivation button makes your profile invisible to other members.
- Permanently delete your account: send an email to idplusastuces@gmail.com from your account's address, with the subject « Account deletion ». Your account, profile, photos and messages are erased within 30 days, and we confirm it by email.
- Only the data the law requires us to keep (payments) or that is needed for safety (reports) is retained, for the periods stated in section 7.
You do not have an account but submitted a story, attended an event or appear in a photo? You can request deletion at the same address.
10. Minimum age
ID+ Rencontre is reserved for people aged at least 20. We do not knowingly collect data about minors. If you believe a minor has registered, report it to us: the account will be deleted.
11. Security
The website is only accessible over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored encrypted. Event sign-in signatures and message attachments are stored outside any public area of the website. Team access depends on each person's rights, and login attempts are limited. As no system is infallible, if a data breach presents a risk to you, we will inform you.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Without the session cookie, logging in to your account is not possible.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when a service is added. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. In case of significant changes, we will inform you on the website or by email.
